The new WordPress doesn’t like long, thin comics anymore and kept shrinking this down to a width of 125. Most of it was legible, but barely. I broke it up, but it left ugly gaps. To get the clean, pretty version, subscribe to my Patreon.

Hi all! First of all, I would like to thank you all for sticking around with me over the years. It’s been a long road, but I’m making art again and actually creating. I’m in a good space mentally, creatively, and with my family, and am almost to a point where my daughter is at school all day during the week and I’ll have dedicated time to sit down and work on art. I’m still squeezing in time here and there where I can and doing Philo on Saturdays. Producing when I can.
Philo!
Philo has been streaming live weekly on Saturdays. I think I’ve missed two episodes since I started the show in January. We’ve had an amazing cast of guest artists on the show, Robin Fisher has been amazing, and it looks like it will continue strong into 2025. I have artists books into February. I’m super excited to bring them to you and continue Philo’s wacky adventures. All episodes and full 9 panel-grided pages of art are located here.
Inktober 2024
I participated in half the month of Inktober this year before life got in the way and I wasn’t able to finish what had piled up by the end of the month. I finished 18/31. I might continue the list on my own, maybe on camera, not sure. For now, I’ll post the 18 under the prompts area of my archives for you all. I did a lot of good ones this year.
The Web Creative Community
The Web Creative Community (Discord linked here ) is a place I recently joined as a community member, then a team member, then a mod. It’s a place where a bunch of creatives streamers are trying to support each other’s creative works. There’s a place for everyone, no politics, and a good overall cheerleading team vibe going on over there that is invigorating if you’re a creative type. Come on in. Join the discord. See what’s going on and share your stuff.
The Mighty Huey Foundation
October was a tight month for the ol’ Glych household. Meals got creative. We were counting pennies out of the pig for gas. I borrowed (more) money from my mom for groceries. I lamented my worries to a friend who gifted me a sizeable sum to get out of the hole I was in and worry about making art. He wanted to remain anonymous, but I still wanted to say thank you, so we jotted down the donation in his cat’s name. I’ve added this graphic to my end credits as a thank you, but me being able to create over the next year is due to him. So Thank you.

I have a Patreon. I am making more things for it. I have my first two $10/month patrons! For them, I am singing a song and playing guitar. I am willing to dance for my monkey money. Should you join them, you TOO, shall watch the monkey dance! But I also have subscriptions as low as $1/month where you get a sketch a day. I’m in between of scan sessions for those sketches, but they’re coming. The monkey dancing is there, though.

First of all, Philo!
Philo has been consistently updating LIVE every week, Saturdays 9pm EST/ 6pm PST. We just finished our first story a few weeks ago and are currently working through our second. Shout out to Robin Fisher for being my better half on the show and knowing more about comics and the industry than I do. She’s amazing to have as a co-host. I’m always learning from her. I’ve also been extremely lucky to have all these amazing artists as guests on the show so far:
Kay Kirscht
Dale Cipperley
Chuck Whelon
Stephen Notley
Casey Craddock
Steve Troop
There are more artists I’ve approached and are coordinating logistics with I can’t wait to share with you, but that will come. Until then, here are links to where you can find Philo, LIVE:
I’ve also collected the first story into a single long Podcast list on Youtube, linked below. So if you missed it the first time, feel free to check it out now!
Speaking at a Cartoonists Northwest Zoom Symposium 8:30pm EST/ 5:30pm PST October 19th, 2024.
Cartoonists Northwest asked me to be a guest speaker at one of their online symposiums next month to talk about my work and career for 1-hour. I still have a lot of prep-work for it and am not even really sure what I’m going to talk about, but I’ll know by the time of the lecture. If there is anything you want me to cover, get ahold of me before then and let me know.
Join the Discord!
I made a discord! Well, I made it a while ago, but I wasn’t sure how to use it. I’m on the edge of being a dinosaur. Anyway, I figured out how to invite people to the discord, so there it is. The discord is going to be a great way to get ahold of me and talk directly to me. I’d love to see you there.

Philo, Sketches, and MORE!

I updated all of my online branding as I have expanded out to other social networks. Below is a quick card of where to find me. I hope I didn’t make it too difficult. If you’re part of one network and not another I do tend to post similar things on all of them, but try to spice up each one a little bit.
Philo lives!
Hi all! Philo has been picking up speed over on Twitch, though the archives are available on YouTube. Here’s a link to the playlist of all of the episodes. Episode 1 is missing because it was my first time streaming it out to everywhere and it never connected correctly with Youtube, so it is now a “lost” episode. Episode 18 had to be redone due to technical issues the first time we tried to record it. If you want to watch live, I’ll be streaming tonight (Saturday 6/1/2024) at 9pm EST/6pm EST on http://twitch.tv/artglych Enjoy!
Sketches?
I want to make my Patreon something special and different from this website. I’ve been scanning in sketchbooks and posting there every day. We’ll stop posting daily when we run out of sketchbooks. I have a few boxes of them so it’ll be a while. Join my Patreon and get daily sketches! Here’s an example with a link to my Patreon. it’s a sketch of my mom I did back in 2010 after I had graduated from college.
Coloring Book and Red Dahlia

I’ve added the pages of the coloring book to the archive as well as going through the pages of Red Dahlia, both 2004 and 2010 versions.
Philo’s been going strong. Below are some random panels from the story, but you can check out episodes and pages in the archive or live on Twitch or YouTube. Still art-ing. More to come.
Philo LIVES!

I’ve restarted Philo on Saturday nights, 9pm EST/6pm PST. You can find it both on
Twitch or YouTube.
I added a few more commissions to the Archive under illustration, but you can see them below here.
The archive has been updating every day with something new/old. Mostly old, but new to the internet. Or things I made for my Patreon members that I’m making free now (Support me on Patreon if you want). Either way, if you check it out, you’ll see. More to come. It’s going to be a busy year.
State of the Panel 2024

Hello! I meant to get this update out on Monday, but I was sick as a dog with a fever and bed rest. Here I am now. Last year I finished the first issue of Captain T. I’ll be getting back to drawing that next week, streaming it out to various platforms as I do, just like I did with the first issue.
I also plan on bringing back Philo. I still have a pile of old episodes I’ll get up on Youtube in time, but that will come. New episodes will also be coming. I bought a Restream account for it and everything. Below is not a picture from Philo, just a cute octopus I drew recently.
I have to finish Shawn Ray’s book this year, Rosie the Salamander. I promised him I’d draw it for him 2 years ago. Sketches from that below.
I’m no longer doing the Urfspace Podcast because one of the other hosts wanted to turn it into the Joe Rogan Experience and I believe in science. I’m still cool with Chuck, but the other host lost credibility with me.
Headed back to the gym. Trying to cut out more time for art this year. Have to finish Captain T and Rosie. Let’s do this! Happy New Year.
MORE Captain T and Prompts

I LIVE! I’ve been posting timelapses and Philos over at my Patreon, which will come here eventually, but they get it first because they’re, you know, paying me. Twitch has been very active in the last few months. I’ve been doing the Urfspace Podcast every week with Chuck Whelon and Chris Porro, now Thursday nights 6:30pm PST. Check it out on my twitch or their website. Captain T is plugging along! I haven’t missed an update (yet). The comic is available for free over at Keenspot. Links below. It’s also October once more, which means Inktober. I’m going to be posting those to my socials long before they end of here. We have lots of prompts posting already.
Captain T and Prompts

It has been a while since I’ve updated. Ciaran has been diligent behind the scenes getting things working so I CAN update the site again. His work has allowed my frankensteined system to work with the new WordPress 6.3 update, which it is doing so now.
Captain T
Captain T pages have been worked on and are being posted to Keenspot. The website code there is a little funky as well, but I’m proud of the pages so please focus on them. If anyone knows pearl as well as web code like HTML, CSS, and PHP, I’m looking for help. Below are some snippets from panels.
Prompts
Between 2020 and 2022 I would periodically do daily drawing prompts. I’m finally uploading them up to the site, where they’ll be updating in the archives section of this website. I’ve posted a few of them here before in the blog, but now I’m putting them all up in all of their glory. I still need to figure out where I’m going to put Red Dahlia as that’s nowhere online and I have 2 chapters (ironically the beginning and the end respectively). Probably in the same archive.
Patreon
I’ve been updating my Patreon more as well as opened up the Discord server to patrons. I’m going to start using that server for Philo episodes when I get a chance. You can sign up here and get stuff.
Youtube
I have a youtube channel now. I mean, I have a few others I haven’t maintained, but now I have one dedicated to the artglych handle on the internet that has episodes on Captain T progress. Here is the latest one which is a timelapse of page 17.
Twitch
I’ve also been very active in twitch. The plan is to have a “currently live,” link on this site, but dreams are dreams. Right now, what’s functional is me telling you to check it out periodically as I update there several times a week. Here’s the Twitch link.

There are ongoing legacy issues on this portion of the site, that will take some more time to fix. I am continuing to work on it, but will focus on getting CaptainT and the other comic areas up and running first. ~ Ciaran.
